Office Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
The Buildings Department employs the custodial staff for all parish buildings and assists in renting out available facilities around the Parish. We are here to help in finding the best date and facility for you, for your event.
Available Facilities
Plaquemines Parish has 6 facilities available for rent to the general public:
- Belle Chasse Auditorium
- Braithwaite Auditorium
- Buras Auditorium
- Buras Community Center
- Percy Griffin Community Center
- Port Sulphur Community Center
Rental Fees Parish Residents
- A $250 reservation/damage and clean-up deposit shall be paid at the time of the reservation of all facilities.
- $25.00 per hour for set up and clean up. The set up fee shall be waived if the setup is done within normal parish working hours and without the assistance of parish personnel. These hours are Monday through Friday from 8am-2pm.

Rental Fees Non Parish Residents
- A $250 reservation/damage and clean-up deposit shall be paid at the time of the reservation of all facilities.
- $50.00 per hour for set up and clean up. The set up fee shall be waived if the setup is done within normal parish working hours and without the assistance of parish personnel. These hours are Monday through Friday from 8am-2pm.

Security Requirements
Every event shall have security provided by the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office paid by the contracting party/applicant.
Reservations, Payment, and Cancellation
- Five (5) days after initial reservation, there must be a payment made for the deposit or your spot will be forfeited. The remaining balance is due three (3) months prior your event date.
- All fees must be paid via a check, money order, or certified/cashier's check.
- No reservations can be made/accepted forty-five (45) days from the date of the proposed event. The only exception of this rule is the reservation of a repast.
- Cancellations must be made ninety (90) days or more prior to the scheduled event to be eligible for a full refund of the rental fee and deposit.
Events with Alcohol
- The contracting party is required to hire 2 uniformed deputies with 1 to 100 people invited. The contracting party is required to hire an additional uniformed deputy for each additional 100 people invited to the event.
Events Without Alcohol
- The contracting party/applicant shall hire 2 uniformed deputies for any event with 1 to 300 people invited. The contracting party/applicant shall hire 3 uniformed deputies for any event with 301 to 499 people invited.
