Crisis Leadership Training

Our office hosted the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service - TEEX - Crisis Leadership Training Course in Belle Chasse. The course focused on the dynamics of crisis leadership and decision making from various leaders prospective. Participants discussed methods to overcome leadership challenges in planning and responding to a large scale incident. The outcome was to develop individual and jurisdictional action plans to guide improved preparedness and emergency response. 

The agencies that participated in this training were: Plaquemines Parish Government, Plaquemines Parish Fire Department, Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office, Plaquemines Parish School Board Schools, Plaquemines Port, Plaquemines Medical Center  Louisiana Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, St. Bernard Parish Government along with several other local and state agencies.

This course was a related course to the Senior Officials Workshop for All Hazard Preparedness we conducted last year. We look forward to hosting additional training sessions in the future.
