To celebrate National Parks and Recreation Month, we will highlight Parish parks, playgrounds, residents, and programs all month!
Today, we highlight the Louisiana Medal of Honor Park. Located in the 5th District, at 1292 Barriere Road. This 30 acre park is dedicated to more than 3,400 medal of honor recipients. The Medal of Honor is our nation's most distinguished award. It is an award available for recognizing a significant act of heroism while serving the United States military.
Plaquemines Parish is honored to be the home of this great park and museum.
